About Me

Ali Gökçe, born in Istanbul in 1997, earned the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Electrical - Electronic Engineering in 2020, and the M.Sc. degree in Multimedia Informatics in 2023, from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey. He has worked as a Software Design Engineer in Aselsan, focused on audio machine learning research, implementation and operations orchestration from 2020 to 2025. He is currently a PhD student in Multimedia Informatics at METU, starting from 2024. He is a Student Member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society and Audio Engineering Society.

naive, idealist, and hard-working on interest
everything creative around make me the happiest

long time listener, deep time talker, walker
through many troubles, one becomes a sailor

jazz and a cappuccino after some fettuccine
now playing big blind but enjoying the game

Software Design Engineer @ Aselsan

2020 — 2025

Research, prototyping and development of a deep learning based environmental seismic event classification project. Preparation, pre-processing, augmentation, and feature extraction for ML training on acoustic data.
Multi-GPU training and utilization of Docker containers on an NVIDIA DGX system. Model optimization via TensorRT and X-CUBE AI. Real-time embedded programming with employment of tiny DL networks and sound processing on STM32 boards.
Research and prototyping of deep learning approaches for an Environmental Sound Classification project, using cross-modal transfer learning. Real-time deployment of DL networks and sound processing with edge listening and live/offline classification, implemented using JUCE framework on Windows and Linux Embedded NVIDIA Jetson.

MSc in Multimedia Informatics @ METU
