I am a Professor of Signal Processing at Graduate School of Informatics, Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. I received the B.Sc. (honors) degree from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Bristol, Bristol, U.K., in 2001, both in electrical and electronic engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from Queen’s University Belfast, Belfast, U.K., in 2004. I held research positions at University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K. (2004-2008) and King’s College London, London, U.K. (2008-2011).
My research interests include audio signal processing, room acoustics, multichannel audio systems, psychoacoustics of spatial hearing, microphone arrays, and game audio. I founded METU Spatial Audio Research Group (METU SPARG) in 2013.
